Tugboat Bay

The north end of Kelowna's Waterfront Park features a crescent of sand right on the edge of the downtown core. This public beach connects directly to a wide boardwalk that wraps around the shoreline, giving pedestrians a clear path along the water. People gather here to swim in the lake or sit on the grassy berms just behind the sand.

Public access to Tugboat Bay runs daily from six in the morning until eleven at night. The area links up with the Rotary Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary to the north, providing a quick transition from paved city walkways to natural wetlands. Public washrooms and outdoor showers are maintained by the municipality nearby.

During the summer months, the water remains calm enough for paddleboarding and wading. Shade trees line the perimeter of the grass, offering relief from the afternoon sun for those who want to read a book or eat lunch outside.
