Begin your search downtown at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort if you want walkable access to restaurants and multiple pools. The Cove Lakeside Resort on the west shore is better for groups needing multi-bedroom suites and a private beach.
01On the Water
Central Lakefront Hotels
The most sought-after properties sit right on the shores of Okanagan Lake. Downtown, the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort has a prime footprint with a marina, outdoor pools, and immediate access to Waterfront Park. Its residences give families full kitchens and large living areas. A short walk away, The Royal Kelowna by Bellstar Hotels has all-suite rooms with rooftop lounging spaces.
Further south, the Eldorado Resort combines two distinct properties. The historic Hotel Eldorado brings a boutique feel, while Manteo adds contemporary rooms, villas, and a pool reserved for adults. Both share a private beach, marina, and hot tubs. Nearby, Playa Del Sol Resort has self-catering apartments with kitchens and a seasonal outdoor pool just across the street from Rotary Beach.
South of the Bennett Bridge, the Prestige Beach House sits steps from Hot Sands Beach and City Park. For those wanting a quieter, suite-style stay with pool and beach access, Siesta Suites is a short walk from Gyro Beach.

02Across the Bridge
West Shore Properties
Across the William R. Bennett Bridge, the west side of the lake moves at a more relaxed pace. The Cove Lakeside Resort is an all-suite property with a private beach, two outdoor pools, a waterslide, and a spa. Its spacious one- to three-bedroom suites work well for families and longer stays.
Casa Loma Lakeshore Resort is a family-oriented complex with condos and townhouses, equipped with a seasonal pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and a playground. It sits in a quiet area just a five-minute drive from the downtown core. Further down the road, Barona Beach Lakeview Resort has condo-style rentals with a pool, hot tub, and private sandy beach.
For a more secluded trip, Boucherie Beach Resort and Seclusion Bay Resort have cabin and cottage rentals right on the water. Seclusion Bay sits on 14 wooded acres with 1200 feet of private waterfront, giving guests a quiet escape.

Outlying Lake Communities
Just to the north, visitors get a different perspective of the valley. Turtle Bay Marina Resort Hotel on Wood Lake has rooms overlooking the water, a full-service marina with boat rentals, and a waterfront pub. You can easily reach both Wood and Kalamalka Lakes from the docks.
To the south, Peachland Beach Resort is a family-friendly spot with beachfront cabins, private decks, and barbecues. Guests get access to a private sandy beach with a floating playground, docks, and boat moorage.
For a smaller scale stay, the Peachland Retreat sits in a quiet residential area. These outlying properties work well as basecamps for day trips up and down the valley, from northern wineries to southern waterfronts.

Nearby, Sparkling Hill Resort focuses entirely on wellness, drawing attention for its Swarovski crystal architecture and massive spa complex. While not a traditional golf property, it functions as an adult-oriented retreat centred on health treatments and relaxation.
Closer to the city centre, many properties run their own spa services, including the Spa at the Cove at The Cove Lakeside Resort and the Damara Day Spa at the Delta Grand Okanagan. For local golf, Tower Ranch Golf Course and The Okanagan Golf Club are a short drive from most downtown hotels.

While there are few strictly adults-only hotels in the immediate area, many bed and breakfasts draw an older crowd. For a strictly adult-focused luxury trip, Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon is the best local choice.

If your travel dates are flexible, aim for the shoulder seasons of early June or late September. The weather stays warm, the beaches are quiet, and you will likely find better availability and lower nightly rates. The fall wine harvest is another busy period, so secure those autumn dates early.
For long weekends like Canada Day, BC Day, and Labour Day, properties often sell out completely. Booking directly with the hotel can sometimes secure better cancellation policies and prevent miscommunications common with third-party booking sites.
