The downtown waterfront promenade widens into a paved plaza bordered by grassy patches and the shoreline of Okanagan Lake. A large metal bear statue stands near the entrance on Water Street, marking the transition from the commercial district to the civic space. People often gather on the steps to eat takeout lunches while watching floatplanes land on the water.

During the warmer months, the flat concrete surfaces host outdoor fitness classes and evening roller skating. When temperatures drop, the city transforms the central pad into a free outdoor ice rink, complete with a fire pit to warm cold hands.

Pedestrians use Stuart Park as a practical corridor linking the marina to the cultural district. The grounds connect directly to the broader waterfront pathway network and remain open daily from early morning until late evening.
