About Gray Monk Estate Winery

George and Trudy Heiss planted their first vines on a steep slope above Okanagan Lake in 1972. They imported fifty Pinot Gris plants from Alsace, France, establishing a new varietal in the region. Today, Gray Monk Estate Winery operates on that same fifty-acre site at the end of Camp Road.

The property features a tasting room and a patio restaurant with clear sightlines down to the water. Agricultural land surrounds the main building, where rows of vines follow the natural grade of the hill.

Guests can book seated tastings or purchase bottles directly from the retail shop. The estate maintains regular daily hours, staying open slightly later on weekends.
