02The Story

Wine without the car

Downtown Kelowna has an urban winery a short walk from Bernard Avenue and the waterfront.

Not every wine stop in Kelowna needs a drive. The Downtown & Urban route is for an afternoon on foot, close to Bernard Avenue, the boardwalk and the brewery district.

The anchor is Sandhill Wines, a tasting room in the city, so it is easy to fit between lunch, the beach and dinner downtown.

For the full vineyard experience, use downtown as the starting point: Après Tours and the other local operators pick up in the city and head out to the Westside, Lakeshore or Lake Country trails.

Walk or take a short cab ride between stops, and check tasting-room hours before you go.
