Angel Springs Trailhead

The route follows KLO Creek through a dense cedar and Douglas fir forest. Hikers navigate multiple creek crossings, which often require stepping across slick logs or wading through shallow water depending on the season. The path consists of packed dirt and rocks, with sections that remain muddy well into the summer months.

At the end of the Angel Springs Trailhead route, water seeps from the hillside, leaving behind bulbous, orange-tinted mineral deposits known as tufa. These formations grow as calcium carbonate precipitates out of the groundwater. The springs themselves run cold, rather than hot, and pool slightly at the base of the rock wall.

Access to the start of the hike requires driving up Little White Forest Service Road. The parking area is unpaved and lacks washroom facilities, so hikers need to arrive prepared for a rugged backcountry environment.
