Hardy Falls Regional Park
Walk the flat canyon trail along Deep Creek in Peachland to see spawning Kokanee salmon in early autumn.
About Hardy Falls Regional Park
Tucked away at the southern edge of Peachland, this shaded canyon trail follows the path of Deep Creek. The route requires crossing several wooden bridges that span the shallow water. In early autumn, the creek bed turns red as Kokanee salmon return to spawn, drawing bears and birds to the area.
The entire walk at Hardy Falls Regional Park is relatively flat and covers a short distance before ending abruptly at a viewing platform. From this vantage point, water drops over the rocky cliff face into the plunge pool below.
Because the elevation gain is minimal, the path accommodates strollers and young children easily. Thick tree cover provides shade during the peak heat of summer, making it a practical option for a quick afternoon walk.
