About Flume Trail trailhead

Positioned at the end of Paramount Drive, the Flume Trail trailhead provides immediate access to the forested slopes above Powers Creek. The route traces the remnants of an early twentieth-century wooden irrigation system that once carried water to local orchards. Today, the path guides hikers through a deep canyon environment shaded by tall pines and Douglas firs.

The terrain changes rapidly as you move away from the street. While the initial stretch remains relatively flat, the dirt path soon narrows and introduces steep sections with loose gravel. Hikers often navigate exposed roots and narrow cliff edges while following the water flow.

Since this entrance sits in a residential area, parking is limited to the roadside. The gates remain open around the clock, allowing early morning runners and afternoon dog walkers to use the canyon paths year-round.
