About Smith Creek Trail System
Smith Creek is a sanctioned mountain bike network on the northwest slopes of West Kelowna. Recreation Sites and Trails BC manages it with the West Kelowna Trail Crew Society, and Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan supports it. Riders know it for fast, flowy descents and technical singletrack, with trails rated from green to black and one double black.
From Highway 97, take Elliott Road uphill and turn right on Smith Creek Road. Keep going until the road turns to gravel. The trailhead lot is in a clearing on the right, just past the overhead power line. It was rebuilt in 2022 with three times the parking, toilets, fencing and new signs.
The network is busy and multi-use, so ride in control and expect hikers. Use a current trail map, as the trail list changes over time.
